It was the move that “revolutionized the baseball world,” as Montreal Royals president framed it in 1945 when he announced his team would become the first to dress a black athlete. Montreal welcomed Robinson with open arms, and Robinson — who would make history a year later by becoming the first ever black player in the majors — made the most of every minute.

In Montreal, he was a legend in the making. And we’re throwing back to Jackie’s time in Montreal with this vintage tee, to that magical time in 1946!
