Those were the words of Roy Jones Jr. before his 1988 gold medal clash with South Korea’s Park Si-hun. Jones, who’d later be known as a “Superman” in the boxing ring, was prophetic. The 19-year-old Jones was robbed of taking home a gold medal in Seoul, in what was one of the egregious decisions in boxing’s history. Yet he took justice into his own hands as a pro, becoming a world champion in four divisions and a box office smash.
