Just a few years after relocating to Oakland in 1968, the beloved Athletics formed one of the greatest, most illustrious dynasties in baseball history – an unrivalled team of characters and sheer will that truly defined an era.
On the arm strength of Jim “Catfish” Hunter and Vida Blue, and the ever-dangerous bat of Reggie Jackson, the A’s won three straight World Series, from 1972-1974. The first three-peat since the New York Yankees in the mid-century.
The vintage glow of that team still lights up the baseball annals to this day!
