When the Crouse Chimes sang across campus following that incredible year in 2002-03, it signaled new day at Syracuse. The Orangemen, in large part because of the great phenom freshman Carmelo Anthony, were national champions. Whenever there was a game on the schedule that magical 2002-03 season that Melo became a campus legend, that’s when school was truly in session.

That was the year a legend was born.

The campuses themselves are iconic. The traditions, sacred. To walk the hallowed grounds is to become a part of a university’s fabric, and it’s through that history that each new story begins. These are the Campus Legends.
