The Big Dipper was, quite literally, a gamechanger.

To see him in person was to see history. When he first walked on the court as a freshman to scrimmage the varsity squad, over 14,000 people showed up to get a look. What did Wilt do? He hung 42 points on his upperclassman, snatched 29 rebounds, and sent eastern Kansas into a frenzy. From there, records began to fall.
