Jason Kidd didn’t burst onto the scene in the Bay Area in 1992. He was the scene. From 1992-94, Kidd turned the Harmon Gym into a playground. He could dish. He could score. He had eyes in the back of his head and could pick-pocket the best guards in the game. Over the course of two seasons as a Golden Bear, Kidd had a record-breaking 494 assists to go along with 204 steals. When Harmon couldn’t hold him, they moved the games to Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena, to share the visual more broadly.
