Bret Hart 'Hitman' Japan '82 White Muscle Tee
“Japanese audiences are great audiences, but they’re just really hard to win over. You really have to know how to pull their strings.”
Want to talk about electric? The year was 1982. The site: The Nakajima Athletic Club in Sapporo City, Japan. That’s when the legendary Bret Hart descended into a mad scene to face the original Tiger Mask, sporting a cowboy hat and a vapor trail of swagger. The Bret Hart-Tiger Mask feud would be revived a decade later, when Hart had become full-on “Hitman” — but the legend was born back in Japan.
Over 40 years later, Hart stands as an icon as much for what he accomplished over the course of his storied career, but also for what he overcame. From personal loss in his family to health issues that forced him to have to learn to walk and talk again to the infamous 1997 “Montreal Screwjob,” what hasn’t killed Bret Hart has made him stronger.
