The Influence of David Bowie is eternal

Lady Gaga has said that she doesn’t know what her identity would be if there were no David Bowie. John Lennon admired his individuality. Artists down the ages have cited Bowie as a major influence on not only their music, but their lives. “He was a genius,” Madonna stated, echoing many others.

One of the great examples of that genius?

The year was 1974. Ziggy Stardust, his otherworldly rock & roll alter ego who had taken over planet Earth just two years earlier, had exited the stage. And now it was just Bowie who was left standing there. In full color. Transforming again, this time with his famous album Diamond Dogs, which featured the hit song “Rebel Rebel.”

There’s classic. And there’s Bowie classic.

As part of our “culture and influence” spotlight throughout the month of February, we are paying homage to the lasting impact of David Bowie and his album, Diamond Dogs!

Officially licensed by David Bowie.
