“It’s not fake love, it comes from the Earth.”
Marshawn Lynch had big love for the 12th man, which is what they call the rabid fans in Seattle. And between 2010 and 2015, going “Beastmode” is what made him one of the most beloved athletes in the history of the great northwest.
Flashback to Jan. 8, 2011, to the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The city of Seattle was electric for the game against New Orleans. Lynch had an incredible run that sent the decibels into the red. It got so loud in that moment that it registered on a local seismograph. Maybe that love really did come from the earth! They dubbed it the “Beast Quake,” and it lives on in Seattle lore just like the man’s legend.
What makes Beastmode so iconic is that he always gave back when it came to youth. He returned often to the Oakland area to work with underprivileged kids, helping to inspire them to reach their goals through his Fam 1st Family Foundation.
As part of our “Greatness Passed Down” theme for the month of March, we have a new Beastmode tee that just dropped celebrating Seattle’s best!
