“Your rhythm should set the pace of the fight. If it does, then you penetrate your opponent’s rhythm. You make him fight your fight, and that’s what boxing is all about.”
The greatest boxer of all time, “Sugar” Ray Robinson stole the hearts of millions during his 25-year boxing career. None more than his hometown of Harlem. With his hot pink Cadillac and eponymous bar on Seventh Avenue, “Sugar” Ray was Harlem as much as Harlem was him. Over 10,000 people danced on the streets of Harlem when he avenged his loss to Randolph Turpin at the Polo Grounds in 1951 to regain his title. He carried that Harlem swagger with him his whole life.
We pay tribute to the great “Sugar” Ray Robinson’s roots with this SRR Harlem sweatshirt!
