“You must never be fearful about what you doing when it is right.”
December 1, 1955. History was made in Montgomery, Alabama. That’s when Rosa Parks stood up for herself, for black America, and for what was right when she refused to give up her seat on the bus. Rooted to her conviction, Parks’ action galvanized change both in her day and for all future generations, solidifying her as the “first lady of civil rights.”
A year later Alabama’s public transportation system was legally integrated. Action is the heartbeat of change.
