The house where the Harts lived was not like the other homes in their Calgary neighborhood. Those other houses did not have a dungeon downstairs. For legendary pro wrestling promoter and trainer Stu Hart, The Dungeon was a tiny basement room filled with mats and weights and dreams. It was a breeding ground for the career of Bret 'Hitman' Hart and his brothers as well as son-in-law Jim Neidhart.
Many of the greats came to this training room to hone their skills -- from Gorilla Monsoon to Nikolai Volkoff, “Superstar” Billy Graham to the Iron Sheik. Bret Hart remembers those days as family time mixed with vocational training and as the foundations for a career that saw him win 32 world titles and cement his legacy as the most technically gifted wrestler of all time.
