Much of their history wasn’t documented. Some of the stories were passed through the generations by word of mouth. But Negro League Baseball remains at the heart of America’s pastime, and the NLB players that took the field beginning in 1920 when the Indianapolis ABCs beat the Chicago Giants are a major part of the fabric of the game.
